The sire, HENRYTHENAVIGATOR, was a brilliantly fast winner of 4 Group 1 races including 2 Classics. He won over distances ranging from 1200m to 1600m.
Danesty, a Danehill dam, was well accomplished on the racetrack with 5 wins including the STC Rohan Trading Company Handicap and AJC Veiled Threat Handicap. She earned $100,430 in prize money during her racing career. Other impressive achievements were her second in the STC Triscay Stakes (listed) and a third in the NSW Tatt’s RC Carrington Stakes (listed). The dam comes from a quality family, being a full sister to DANESTORM, and a three-quarter sister to DANENDRI and CHICKENS.
This is her fifth foal. Her fourth foal was sold at the Magic Millions early this year to Iskander Racing and will be trained by Gregory McFarlane at Rosehill. Danesty currently has three foals racing:
• Fun Rider (g. by Encosta de Lago) was purchased by the Hong Kong Jockey Club in 2008. He has had 3 wins at 1650m and placing 12 times earning $457,800 in prize money to date. He has won Class 3 races such as Old Bailey Handicap, Cherry Handicap and The Fakei Cup. Fun Rider is still racing in Hong Kong.
• Juninho (g. by Giant’s Causeway) has had 3 wins in his racing career so far, winning over distances ranging from 900 – 1200 meters.
• Lovemelongtime (c. by Lonhro) who has had one start.
