Gold Coast Magic Millions Yearlings Sale

Matrix Bloodstock will be selling a lovely colt out of Danesty by Haradasun at the Magic Millions yearling sale on Wednesday 12th January 2011.

The sire, HARADASUN, is a brilliant triple Group 1 winning miler. A champion three year old with race earnings of nearly $2.5 million from the legendary Mr Prospector sire line. He is out of Group 1 winning CIRCLES OF GOLD and is a half brother to 5 time Group 1 winning champion ELVSTROEM. Haradasun scored impressive back to back victories in two of Australia’s most important races over a mile – the Group 1 George Ryder Stakes and the Group 1 Doncaster Handicap. He beat the cream of Europe’s older milers when winning the Group 1 Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Danesty, a Danehill dam, was well accomplished on the racetrack with 5 wins including the STC Rohan Trading Company Handicap and AJC Veiled Threat Handicap. She earned $100,430 in prize money during her racing career. Other impressive achievements were her second in the STC Triscay Stakes and a third in the NSW Tatt’s RC Carrington Stakes. The dam comes from a quality family, being a full sister to DANESTORM, and a three-quarter sister to DANENDRI and CHICKENS.

This is her fourth foal. Her third foal is a two year old. Danesty currently has two foals racing:

• Fun Rider (g. by Encosta de Lago) was purchased by the Hong Kong Jockey Club in 2008. He has had 3 wins at 1650m earning $451,644 in prize money to date. He has won Class 3 races such as Old Bailey Handicap, Cherry Handicap and The Fakei Cup. Fun Rider is still racing in Hong Kong and is in contention for the honour of the prestigious yellow saddlecloth in the 1010 Million Challenge, of which he is currently leading.
• Juninho (g. by Giant’s Causeway) was retained by Matrix Bloodstock and is a winner at 1200m in 2009-10.

Danesty recently had her 5th foal by Henrythenavigator.
