The sire, DYLAN THOMAS is a world champion and 6-time Group One winner. He has covered an exceptional first book in 2008 and was proven to be very popular at the latest Magic Millions sales amongst agents and trainers such as Ingham Racing and Jason Coyle. His outstanding first yearlings are selling now.
The Marauding mare, Hit and Giggle, had 2 wins over 1400m and 1450m. This is her eighth living foal. Her seventh foal is a two year old. Hit and Giggle is the dam of four foals to race, all winners:
• Jovial – Global Win (Hong Kong) is a gelding by Redoute’s Choice who accumulated $658,393 in prize money during his impressive racing career of 7 wins and being placed 16 times . The gelding had much success in Australia and was sold to Hong Kong to continue his career.
• Fanfares (f. by Redoute’s Choice) was lightly raced with 3 wins in races such as MRC Imposera Handicap and the Vicurban Cup Handicap.
• Laurel Canyon (f. by Fastnet Rock) is currently in training with Hawkes Racing. She has had 2 wins at 1406 to 1450m in the 2010/2011 season and was placed 2nd in the MRC All American at Arrowfield Stud and in the STC St Ignatius’ College Riverview Handicap.
• Vonharp (f. by Danehill Dancer) is a winner at 1300m in 2010/2011 and recently placed 2nd in the Decjuba Handicap.
Hit and Giggle comes from a quality family, being a half-sister to FATAL ATTRACTION, HAPPY MORNING, and Seton Hall – Banker (Macau).
- FATAL ATTRACTION (f. by Zebeel) winner at 2400m. She won the Group 2 Western Australian Oaks and came 2nd in the Group One WATC Derby.
- HAPPY MORNING (g. by Danehill) 6 wins in Australia and Macau winning $648,661 in prize money ranging from 1000m to 1500m. Won the Group 2 SAJC Breeders’ Stakes and came 3rd in the Group 1 VRC Sires’ Produce.
- Seton Hall – Banker (g. by Dehere) 7 wins during his racing career from 1100m to 1600m.
