Surf Life Saving Australia today announced the appointment of Michael Crismale as the organisation’s newest Independent Director.
Michael currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Australian Turf Club and is the Director and founding owner of Matrium Technologies Pty Ltd. He is a member of the Institute of Sports Management, Institute of Chartered Accountants, Australian Institute of Company Directors and Taxation Institute in Australia.
Michael is looking forward to joining the Surf Life Saving Australia Board of Directors. “I will act in the best interests of the organisation and its members. I plan to encourage SLSA to maintain its positive course of action with ongoing responsible financial management together with following sound principles of sales, marketing and general management,” he said.
SLSA President, Graham Ford, believes that Michael’s experience will be a great asset to SLSA.
“Michael’s business acumen will help us immensely. The guidance of someone with Michael’s skills is exactly what we need to keep Australia’s largest volunteer organisation moving forward.”
Michael’s appointment completes the Independent Directors positions on the SLSA Board, following the recent appointment of Suzanne Young, Executive General Manager Group Corporate Services with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
